Learning english with tv series and movies

Post by stanleey »

Hello to everyone!
My name is Stan and I have been studying English for many years, I lived for some time in New York and I can say with confidence that the best way to learn a language is to speak English.
I really like movies and TV shows and decided to make lessons based on movie fragments.
I will be happy to share with you my videos in this topic and to read your comments!

Here is my first one:

Hello Stan,

I'm French.I'm 61!
I've just seen your videos.
I like.
It's a funny way to learn English.
Of course, people speak fastly but it's possible to repeat the scene again and again.

Thanks for your job
I am eager to discover the following.

Have a nice day.

Hello Pierrick,
Thank you very much, very happy to get feedback!

I try to focus on key moments in the dialogs so that viewers understand the main point of what has been said.
Otherwise, if somebody doesn't even know many words, the general context should help.
Now I'm setting up the format, so any advice, judgments and comments are very important.
So thank you very much again, and have a nice day too!

Hi guys, I finished new videos:

The opening fragment from the family movie Alexander and the terrible... bad day -
This is my favorite video at the moment,

Funny Friends episode, where they all turn 30 -
This video has a very good vocabulary,

Going to the hospital with Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory -
Emergency vocabulary, driving vocabulary, filling out the forms vocabulary,

Basic verbs with the cast of Frozen 2 -
This lesson is great for beginners. There are many of the most commonly used verbs in everyday life,

The Secret Life of Pets 2 is one of the funniest movies this year -

It seems to me that the TV series "Friends" is one of the best ones for improving your English as it has many episodes, an interesting story, lively characters, a lot of colloquial vocabulary, which is regularly repeated.
